Director Hiking Series: Lookout Mountain, 7/8

Join us this summer on a hike with Black Mountain Recreation & Parks new Director, Jacob Guiot! Jacob joins our department with 20 years of parks experience, a love for the outdoors, and a passion for recreation. Our first hike in this series will be to the infamous Lookout Mountain in Montreat. This hike will be a longer loop that will begin on Rainbow Road and ascend to the summit of Lookout Mountain. This hike is rated as moderate to strenuous in difficulty and is approximately 4 miles long. Registered participants must check-in at the Lake Tomahawk tennis courts (near the picnic pavilion) prior to this event to go over additional details for the hike. Once everyone is checked-in and all safety protocols have been covered, participants can either carpool or ride in the parks and rec van.
